This is a seldom seen Goodyear's 1851 United States Navy Button. It is in good condition for its age. The button measures about 3 cm in diameter or 1 and 1/4 inch in diameter. The composition is hardened rubber. This is a must for Goodyear's collectors. The button as seen in the photo is in good shape only showing some defect as it was worn by some sailor in the past. The button is at last 170 years old.
