Interesting Button. This is a Civil War Era Button from H.Poole & Co. Saville Row. This button is from London. This company I believe is still in business. It was opened in 1806 in Brunswick Square and then moved in 1846 to Saville Row. The button is just a little over 1/2 inch or 1 1/2 cm. in diameter.The composition is brass and the paint is still mostly on it. The button is at least 170 years old.
