The is an interesting Civil War relic that was metal detected in upstate New York. It is of brass composition. These Tent Slips came in various lengths and were an integral part of setting up camps in the wilderness. The items was cleaned up a little bit. The item is somewhat crude in that it is not smooth and may have seen use.
